Hello everyone!
Heres this weeks what did Pat get into. Well this week started off no very productive. Had a few errands to run which took most of my time.
I did manage to run back up north to Norfolk to a Model A job I looked at. This is the Model A I mentioned a few weeks ago about having a broken front spring. This time I went back up and investigated the car a bit more. I’m still going to pull and fix the front end soon. However the customer wants me to get it running for this weekend. So I do the usual checks ignition, timing, fuel. It has a few problems I need to work out. I will be returning this week as I need a new battery, and a carburetor.
Saturday was my Spring dust off which was a great success!! Thank you all of coming and thank you for everyone helping out. Jenn and I started the day meeting up with the Northwest Model A club. We had a nice little 5 car group including Jenns 1928 open cab pickup that we lead down to my garage. Were we meet up with the Fairfield county Model A club. Who also brought a group of 5 cars. We ended up servicing a good 6-7 cars. Oil changes, chassis greasing, etc. luckily the weather cooperated for the most part. We had one fairly quick rain storm that came thru but after that it cleared up and ended up being a beautiful day.
Thank you again for all attending and helping out.
I did manage to do a little sanding on my doors and deck lid for my roadster project. I figured I’d knock these 3 pieces out now as they don’t need much to repaint and they have a lot of body done previously. So should able to get them painted and installed fairly quickly.
Also I know it was a busy day on Saturday, but you might have seen the little fish tank I had setup by the garage entry door. There wasn’t any fish it in on Saturday but Sunday there was! I’d like to introduce you to Bubbles and wobbles. My newest garage helpers. Not sure how much help they will actually be but they are definitely entertaining to watch. Also yes my 5 year old nephew named them.
Till next time
Patrick.
