Hello everyone.

Welcome to this weeks addition of what did Pat get into.

This week was a hot one. As always I got alot of stuff done. However alot of it wasn’t antique car related. Some was though.

I won’t go into much detail but most of the week was spent cleaning up the yard and fence line. At some point in the next few weeks we are having a company come in and replace most of the fence that runs along the side of our property. So in order to prepare for that work, we ended up cleaning up and getting rid of a ton of old wood that was piled along the fence. Now it’s good to go for when the fence guys get here.

So unfortunately I didn’t make much progress on customer work. I did get a pinch of work done though. You might remember from a previous post, that I have a full interior to do in a Model A 4 door Sedan. So I got a start on that. I started to lay out the door panels and I’m using them as patterns for the new ones.

I also went over to a former customers house who is having fuel issues with their Model A Phaeton. It’s a very nice car but needs some gas tank work. The plan is to pull the tank out of the car, clean and seal it. I will also pull the front passenger seat. That I’m not 100% sure yet but looks like the frame broke. I’ll know more once I have it and I’m able to pull the upholstery off to see what’s going on.

As for my project, Jenn came down with me earlier in the week and we managed to get the rumble seat lid sanded and buffed out. And Jenn did some paint touch up work.  It came out ok. It has some flaws and such but looks ok. Pogy came over and helped me with some of the yard work and we managed to get the lid installed. I got it fairly well adjusted. It’s certainly not perfect. I may revisit and tinker a bit more on it before I install the rumble seats.

I also got started on making a rumble side panel from scratch. So far I’m happy with it. I made it out of cardboard. So next step is to transfer it to the actual backing board and double check the fit. Then I plan on making one more smaller one that will start were this one ends and it will attach to the back of the front seat.

Lastly! I had a friend do some art work for me. He redesigned my business cards, made a tee shirt design, and a banner design. So far I made business cards made and a few tee shirts made.

Now that I can see the design in person and on a shirt I can figure out and have a bunch more shirts made up.

That’s all for this week!
