Hello everyone
Here’s this weeks addition of what did Pat get into.
This was a good week. I made progress on a number of projects. All of which I’ll tell you about now.
First up, I made a trip up to Norfolk to continue on the Model A Sports coupe I’ve been working on. This weeks mission was to install a new fuel shut off valve, and gas gauge as well as some interior repair.
Well I managed to get the fuel valve changed over and the interior fixed. As for the gas gauge, that was there with the car previously, but it got miss placed. So I ordered another one and will
Be back up this week to finish up.
Next stop I made was up in Clinton. I continued work on the Four Door Model A I’ve been working on there. The owners son has been working with me on the project and he’s learning a lot. He’s a good kid. We managed to get a rebuilt carburetor installed, rebuilt distributor installed, and finished up some wiring. While I was there I checked the fit man’s adjusted as needed the door/kick panels. I’m happy with the fit of them so now I can make copies of them and then cover them in black vinyl.
Lastly for customer work this week I poured some Babbitt. I have a Model A engine to rebuild. So Pogy and I managed to get the block and the 3 main caps poured. It’s now onto the next step Align bore! I still have a set of connecting rods to pour for this engine as well so plenty more to come with this job.
As for my stuff I made a little progress. I managed to finish fitting my rumble seat side panels and got one covered. Lots more to come on this project too!!
That’s all for this week!
