ello everyone.

Here’s this week addition of what did Pat get into.

As seems to be the norm, I got a lot done with week. It seems to always surprise me writing these emails how much I actually get done. It never seems like I make progress but I realize how much I do when writing these emails.

Anyways here we go!

This week started out slow. I made a stop in Plainville to a a former customer. In the past I rebuilt a Model A engine for him. He’s very happy with it. Go me! This time on his other Model A, (he’s got 3) he thought it was overheating, and wanted me to check it over as he was taking it on a tour this past weekend. This was a rather easy fix. The radiator cap gaskets/quail cap was broken and gaskets were dry rotted and not sealing. So what he thought was boiling ended up just being antifreeze spilling out.

Easy fix and a happy customer.

Next up was some Align Bore work. Earlier in the week I started prep work on the Model A engine we poured mains for previously. I’m happy to say I got the block prepped and managed to get the engine bored. Not done yet but almost. Next up is to finish the rear main thrust faces. Then fingers crossed I did the job right and the crank fits!! More to come.

My stuff.

Some how I managed to get a lot of my projects done too.

First up was the Camero work I started previously. Last week I reinstalled the carburetor, and naturally ran into other issues. Electrical this time. This week I replaced the battery cables, and fixed a few other wires. Now it starts and runs good. Just needs a lot of run time. That’s for my brother and law to do though. I have no interest in it. 4 cylinders are better and cars with big ol wheels.

Once the Camero was done I switched it with the 1951 Ford F100 Pickup. She’s going to a new home soon and the new owners asked me to do some work to her first. She has a fairly decent sized list of things to work on and repair. Carburetor rebuild, new fuel pump, choke cable, some wiring, oil changes, few other things. So get ready Guy/Debbie! She’ll be ready for you soon! I forgot to take pictures of the truck next time I’ll have some.

Some how this week I even managed to squeeze in some work on my Model A roadster project. Previously I made rumble seat side panels. They are now installed. I also made a little rug for the floor of the rumble area. I still need to fix the seat back rest to attach it better to the deck lid but damn it looks good. More to come on this guy too.
